BSE 2nd graders worked with BSHS students in Mr. Mellick's classes to build bird feeders! This was a fun way to wrap up the second grade unit on animals and get a preview of the wood shop in the BTEC building!
Great job to Mr. Mellick and his students for preparing kits to build each bird feeder and partnering with 2nd graders! The bird feeders will be distributed to various community partners this spring, so be on the look out!

BSHS senior Yailyn Corrales raised money through her senior project and donated $200 to the BSHS Diversity Ambassadors in return! Yailyn created her own business doing nails as her senior project, and worked closely with Ms. Benton who worked as her mentor and marketing/promotions advisor.
Yailyn has been a part of the Diversity Ambassadors all four years of high school and said the group made such a big impact on her that she wanted to donate a portion of her profits to the group to do her part in giving back.
